To our valued customers: Please understand the process of refinishing can turn up some challenges along the way of your project. Previous repairs, deep scratches and color matching may not turn out absolutely perfect but we will certainly use skills and knowledge from our years of experience and information we have gathered in the refinishing industry to make sure your project looks as amazing as possible
Please note the extreme difficulty matching one item to an existing set of furniture. For instance, if you have a dining table, but do not want to have the rest of your matching set refinished at the same time, we cannot guarantee absolute perfection on color. The main reason for this is the current finish on your furniture has seen wear and tear, time in the UV of the sun and general age. Pigments and colors will fade over time, wash out or be dissolved by the wood. The pigments we use today are not the same pigments that were used when your furniture was made thus proving many challenges. We always advise that things refinished at different times may not match your set due to the reasons above.
Please note your furniture may have previously been refinished or repaired, this sometimes makes our job more difficult but if noted ahead of time we will explain the process. We only use the strongest bonding agents and skills to repair your items, but please understand sometimes there are factors involved that need to be taken with realistic consideration.
Please note that stains absorb differently throughout a piece of wood and will look different on different types of wood species. We use high quality water and oil based stains and water base primer and paint. We also use only water based poly/conversion varnish which dries crystal clear so the stain stays true to its intended color. Any discoloration after delivery/pickup will be considered damage.
Tannins in the wood may show through white paint. We do our best to prevent this with shellac and stain blocking prime, but it is a slight possibility. If you don’t want to chance this we recommend picking a darker color.
Wood is an ever living object and can shrink/expand during changing seasons/temps/humidity changes, this makes it susceptible to these changes. This can occur more so in PINE but it can also occur in any wood species. (Think of wood like a sponge-the softer the wood the more porous it is and can absorb/release moisture more easily). We also recommend keeping your furniture indoors and in normal temperature range (any temp between 60-85) as the finish and table itself can become damaged in extreme cold or heat. Again, we strive to make each piece as perfect as possible.
The Furniture Redeemer is NOT responsible for wrongful orders. If you choose the wrong color, send us the wrong measurements, etc. there WILL be a repair fee/change of order fee to repair/remake the item.
The Furniture Redeemer is also NOT responsible for damage to an item or any injury caused by any piece of furniture once it has left our possession. It is your duty as a buyer to properly use the furniture for its designed purpose only. See below for maintenance and care tips on how to properly take care of your newly redeemed piece and maintain the longevity and durability of the finish.
All sales are FINAL. Once the second half of the payment is paid, the sale/contact is completed and cannot be refunded or returned.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE:
We make our pieces as durable as possible to resist little fingerprints and general day to day life in busy homes, however they are painted items and not indestructible. Therefore we advise you to protect your newly redeemed furniture by following these care tips:
Your piece is dry to the touch, however please treat it with great care and use lightly during the cure time. "Cure time" is the amount of time needed for the finish on a piece to reach maximum hardness and be ready for normal, daily use. This is different than "dry time."
This can take anywhere from 21-30 days depending upon temperature and humidity. Refrain from cleaning during the 30 day cure time, and then follow the tips below for regular care and maintenance.
Regular Cleaning and Maintenance After the Cure Time:
Do not use anything other than diluted liquid soap and warm water – dry immediately using a microfiber cloth for both cleaning and drying. Do not focus rubbing on one area if something is stuck or marred on the surface, this may cause a dull spot on the finish.
**The Furniture Redeemer, LLC reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order at any time for any reason.**
